If you've done much sand casting, you've probably dealt with trapped air, incomplete fills, extra cleanup, or having to remelt a casting that just didn't turn out. It's all part of learning the process—but I wanted to find a way to make that part easier.

That's where the Hex-Cast came from.

The Hex-Cast is an all-in-one vacuum-assisted sand casting system designed specifically for jewelry casting. Instead of having a separate vacuum pump, hoses, and everything spread across your bench, the vacuum system is built directly into the unit, creating a cleaner and more compact setup.

I designed the Hex-Cast because I wanted something that fit naturally into my own workflow. Whether you're making one custom piece or casting several parts in a row, the goal is simple: spend more time making jewelry and less time fighting your equipment.

The Hex-Cast is designed for use with standard jewelry sand casting flasks.

Important Information

The Hex-Cast is designed specifically for jewelry sand casting and is not intended for investment (lost wax) casting, industrial vacuum systems, or other high-duty vacuum applications.

To help maximize performance and motor life, do not operate the Hex-Cast under continuous vacuum for more than three (3) minutes at a time. If additional runtime is needed, allow the motor to cool completely before beginning another casting cycle.

Every Hex-Cast is individually assembled, tested, inspected, and assigned a unique serial number before it ships. Because each unit is assembled by hand, you may notice minor cosmetic variations that do not affect performance or functionality.

The Hex-Cast started as a project for my own jewelry bench. I wanted a compact, integrated vacuum-assisted casting system that was simple to use, didn't take up a lot of space, and solved the problems I kept running into with other setups.

After a lot of designing, prototyping, testing, and refining, that project became the Hex-Cast.

Every unit is assembled, tested, and inspected before it leaves my shop, and if I update the documentation or create new tutorials, you'll always be able to access the latest versions online.
